M13 Hercules Globular Cluster
About 300,000 stars crowd into a region known as M13, The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules. M13 is one of the most famous and brightest globular clusters. Lies about 25,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Hercules, M13 spans about 150 light-years in diameter. Distance between the stars get denser towards the center of the cluster. At the dense core, over 100 stars are packed in a cube of just 3 light-years. This image highlights the core of M13 and a spectacular clear view of the proximity of stars approaching the core.
