M17 Omega Nebula
M17, also known as Omega Nebula, is a star forming factory. Thick lanes of dense clouds and dust supply raw materials for star formation. Located some 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius, Omega Nebula is one of the brightest and largest star forming regions in our Milky Way galaxy. The Omega Nebula, also known by other names as Swan Nebula, Horseshoe Nebula and Checkmark Nebula, span about 20 light-years across and is visible with a binocular.
